AIRF opposes Closure of DAC Cases

ALL INDIA RAILWAYMEN'S FEDERATION - AIRF

4. STATE ENTRY ROAD, NEW DELHI-110055 INDIA

No.AIRF/DAC(60) dt. 16.03.2011

The Secretary(E),
Railway Board,
New Delhi

Attn: Shri P.K. Sharma, Addl. Member(Staff)

Dear Sir,

Sub: Departmental Anomaly Committee for Railways
Ref: Railway Board's letter No.PC-V/2009/DAC-1 dated 16.03.2011

AIRF is not satisfied with the reply given by the Railway Board vide their letter under reference.

It is pertinent to mention here that the agenda of the Departmental Anomaly Committee was duly approved by the Railway Board also. Therefore, these issues cannot be closed without having been discussed threadbare in the Departmental Anomaly Committee.

It may also be appreciated that there is lot of difference between the Technicians, Artisan and Technical Supervisors working in the Railways and those employed elsewhere under Government of India because their recruitment qualification, induction training, nature of duties as also the degree of responsibility borne by them are entirely different as Railways run round the clock in all weather conditions and climate without any break.

The Board are, therefore, urged upon not to close these issues arbitrarily.

Yours faithfully,

(Shiv Gopal Mishra)
General Secretaty
